Mini Medics

Mini Medics

The Mini Medics are a group of specially trained Year 5 pupils who help to promote first aid awareness across our school.

Working alongside Miss Winfield and Mrs Dingley, the Mini Medics help to deliver first aid workshops to pupils from Reception to Year 6. They demonstrate important lifesaving skills, including CPR, the recovery position and how a defibrillator can be used in an emergency. They also help other pupils during practical activities, offering support and encouragement as they learn these valuable skills.

The Mini Medics are proud to share their knowledge not only with children in our school, but also with parents, carers and governors through their practical workshops. They have even had the opportunity to visit other schools to help children learn about first aid, developing their confidence and leadership skills along the way.

As part of their role, the Mini Medics help Miss Winfield to check the first aid boxes around school, ensuring they are fully stocked and ready to use if needed.

Being a Mini Medic is a fantastic opportunity for pupils to develop confidence, teamwork, communication and leadership skills, while helping to keep our school a safe and caring place for everyone.
